The National Weather Service says temperatures will remain below seasonal averages into late next week, continuing the region's long, chilly spell.

It’s not unusual for San Diego to have lots of days when the temperature hits 70 or above during the winter and in early spring. San Diego’s daytime high will be 63 on Saturday, 64 on Sunday and 66 on Monday, the weather service said. The seasonal high is 67.
Temperatures will turn cooler on Tuesday and Wednesday as a low-pressure system moves toward Southern California. It’s not clear whether the system will produce bad weather on Thursday, when the San Diego Padres begin their season with a home game at Petco Park.Since the rainy season began on Oct. 1, the airport has recorded 13.19 inches of precipitation. The airport historically averages 9.79 inches during the entire season, which ends Sept. 30.
