Mobile gaming has steadily been growing over the years. It's also an area companies like Samsung are interested in. Samsung already has a Gaming Hub app for its TVs, but announced that it's looking to push the platform to its smartphones at the Game Developers Conference earlier today.

Samsung confirmed that Gaming Hub will be made available for Samsung Galaxy smartphones. For your info, Samsung Gaming Hub was previously limited to selected Samsung smart TVs. Samsung also unveiled a gaming controller designed for Samsung Gaming Hub at CES 2024, so you can see that the company is willing to invest manpower and resources in the platform.

In terms of new features, Samsung confirmed that the"Gaming Hub for Mobile" would have something called"Instant Plays". Essentially, the features allow users to play a game without installing it. Samsung VP and head of game services, Jong Woo, said that this would help mobile gamers discover new games. This benefits game publishers, as they can expand their games to a wider audience.

As you can tell, this probably means the games are stored server-side, so you'd need a fast Internet connection on your Galaxy phone to fully enjoy this. Mind you, people who already play mobile games have no problems downloading them. But cloud gaming platforms like this are great for people who want access to titles normally available on PC or console only. Note that Gaming Hub for Mobile is currently available only in some countries like the US and Canada.

Would you be interested in playing games on the Samsung Gaming Hub on your Galaxy phone? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
