Samsung GalaxyZFlip5 To Get Optimised Google Apps For External Display
. Now, a new report claims that the South Korean tech giant is working with internet search provider Google to get the latter’s apps working in full with the smaller screen.
SamMobile reports that Samsung is working with Google to get apps like the latter’s Maps, Messages and YouTube, among others, to work with the smaller screen on the Galaxy Z Flip5. This means that it will be possible to get navigation guides, send texts and watch videos without unfolding the phone. In a sense, this is understandable as these are among the most common use case scenarios for smartphones these days. But on the flip side, the small screen doesn’t exactly scream optimal use.
Either way, if a partner company’s apps are getting support for the external screen, it’s only natural that its own will too. The report claims that Samsung has already adapted its own Keyboard app for use with the smaller screen of the Galaxy Flip5, and that it will be safe to expect most of the company’s own apps to work with it.It’s certainly an optimistic claim to make, even if it’s not totally outlandish. That being said, as usual, it’s better to take this with a pinch of salt still.
, possibly even on the much rumoured 26 July, when both the Flip5 and Fold5 are expected to be revealed.
