As of the time of writing, the full specs of the tablet have yet to be revealed, but its key specs and pricing are already published. First up, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Design-wise, the device looks similar to the Galaxy Tab S9 series, though with noticeably larger bezels. the screen itself is an 8.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 800 x 1430 pixels, though the refresh rate was not revealed. The Galaxy Tab A9 also comes with a microSD card slot for expandable storage, runs Android 13 OS via presumably One UI 5.1 and has support for LTE connectivity. In UAE, the 4/64GB LTE version is priced at AED699 or ~RM900, with global availability and price expected to be announced in the near future, alongside the launch of the tablet’s bigger brother, the Galaxy Tab A9+.
