The Samsung Galaxy Ring has officially launched in Malaysia, arriving a year after its global debut. Designed as a fitness tracker worn on the finger, it measures 2.6mm thick and weighs between 2.3g and 3.3g depending on ring size. Despite its discreet appearance, the AI-powered Galaxy Ring is equipped with an accelerometer, an optical heart rate sensor that also tracks blood oxygen levels, and a skin temperature sensor.
In addition to health tracking, the Galaxy Ring supports gesture controls, allowing users to double tap with their index or middle finger and thumb to remotely control the camera shutter or disable alarms. Battery capacity ranges between 18mAh and 23.5mAh depending on size, offering up to seven days of usage for larger sizes, and at least four days for smaller ones.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is priced at RM2,099 and comes in ten sizes with three finishes: Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. However, obtaining it is not as straightforward as picking it off the shelf or adding it to a cart online.
