5G version of the Samsung Galaxy A14 is now available in Malaysia. The Galaxy A14 5G costs RM150 more and it runs on a Dimensity chip instead of Exynos.
. As a comparison, the LTE version with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at RM799. The Galaxy A14 5G is offered in 3 colour options – Black, Silver and Dark Red. Similar to the Galaxy A14 LTE version, the device is offered with a free one-year extended warranty.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy A14 5G comes with a 6.6″ Full HD+ 90Hz LCD display which is an improvement over the HD 720p screen on the previous model. Instead of an Exynos 850 for the LTE version, the A14 5G runs a MediaTek Density 700 chip that’s paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For taking pictures, it gets a triple-camera setup for the rear which consists of a 50MP main camera and two 2MP shooters for macro and depth. Meanwhile, the front comes with a 13MP selfie shooter.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery which supports 15W fast charging. The device ships with Android 13 out of the box and Samsung is promising 2 major OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
