Samsung has initiated a legal process to obtain a declaratory judgment of non-infringement, essentially seeking legal confirmation that their product does not violate Oura’s patents. For those unfamiliar, the Finnish company Oura is one of the key players in the product category.and expect to begin mass production of the product by mid-June of this year.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Ring alongside the 6th generation foldables in the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is reportedly scheduled for July. The company has a track record of announcing the foldables in July and releasing them in early August. So, the suit basically reaffirms the rumors that Samsung will announce the new wearable ring in its Galaxy Unpacked event.The document also reveals some of the health-tracking capabilities of the Galaxy Ring.
