PUTRAJAYA: Amid the excitement of anticipating"new figures" on the December pay slip, civil servants are reminded to continue practising frugality and avoid unnecessary spending.
"For example, when rumours of a salary increase circulate, car advertisements offering attractive promotions start appearing on social media. We need to be wise, and if the existing car is still in good condition, it’s better to keep using it. Mohd Khusairi also hopes that this increase would not lead to a rise in the prices of essential goods, as this would burden all groups, including private sector workers.
"I already have a car, and my house doesn't need any renovations as everything is still in good condition. Furthermore, my salary isn't very high, and I hope to remain steadfast in managing my finances," she said.
