The Saint Louie University Center for Culture and the Arts dancers dazzled their way to victory in one of the main events in the Panagbenga Festival here on Feb. 25 and Feb. 26.
BAGUIO CITY –
SLU, which also shone in the last edition in 2019 before the annual event was shelved for three years due to pandemic, won the top cash prize of P200,000. The TIEZA float carrying actor and Senator Lito Lapid and his son Mark was adjudged the best in the big float category which rewarded it with P500,000 in cash prizes.
Zaparita Garden emerged as the best too in the small float category, and took away P250,000, with Mang Inasal settling for second and Province of Benguet third .In cultural category, Saeng Ya Kasay Cultural Ensemble from University of the Cordilleras clinched the first place and P100,000, with Uggayam Turayan Cultural Group of San Vicente taking second place and P70,000 and Labban di E-lagan Indigenous Peoples Organization, Laban, Sabangan, Mountain Province third .
