Moments after authorities announced that Luigi Mangione had been arrested in the killing of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO on Dec 9, people delved into his digital trail.

PUTRAJAYA: Former PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will consult his lawyers following the Court of Appeal's decision reducing the fine imposed on former party vice-president Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin ."The difference with by the High Court is in terms of the quantum but the facts of the case remain the same.

"The court's decision showed PKR did the right thing by imposing a fine," he told a press conference after the Home Ministry's monthly assembly on Thursday . Saifuddin, who is also Home Minister, said the party has another avenue to appeal in the Federal Court. It was reported that Zuraida was ordered to pay RM100,000 instead of the RM10mil initially imposed for breaching a bond with her former party.A three-judge panel of the Court of Appeal, chaired by Justice See Mee Chun, upheld the Kuala Lumpur High Court's decision finding Zuraida in breach of the bond but reduced the compensation amount, deeming it"unreasonable".

"Our finding is RM10mil is not a reasonable compensation. It cannot be construed as reasonable compensation. It is unreasonable and extravagant. But it does not absolve the appellant from any liability," Justice See stated on Wednesday .
