Ahli Parlimen Keningau, Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey G Kitingan, berkata baru-baru ini Perdana Menteri telah mencadangkan pembayaran RM260 juta kepada Sabah dan RM300 juta kepada Sarawak. “Kenapa bukan 40 peratus seperti yang termaktub dalam perlembagaan?” katanya, menegaskan hasil bersih 40 peratus dalam artikel 112C dan 112D masih belum dilaksanakan lagi.

Dr Jeffrey yang juga Timbalan Ketua Menteri Sabah mencadangkan agar peruntukan pembangunan 2023 dan seterusnya dimasukkan terus ke dua akaun Amanah Pembangunan iaitu untuk Sabah dan untuk Sarawak.“Dengan cara itu, peruntukan dapat dibelanjakan mengikut acuan Sabah dan Sarawak yang akan dikawal selia oleh jawatankuasa bersama Kementerian Persekutuan, Sabah dan Sarawak,” katanya.
