Sabah, Sarawak aren't problem children, says Umno

Umno Supreme Council member Abdul Rahman Dahlan believes the next 10 to 20 years is going to be ‘the decade of Borneo’.

“But this is the new deal by Umno. Sabah Umno will ask for the new government to be helmed by Barisan Nasional . “It’s only natural, just like what Jakarta is doing. They are looking at Kalimantan as the new growth centre for Indonesia,” he said, referring to the relocation of the Indonesian capital.He said Sabah should also align its economy to Borneo instead of the peninsula.

Rahman said the national unity charter signed by Umno and PAS will not sideline any race or religion. This is despite its primary objective of fighting for the interests of the Malay and Bumiputera communities.
