KUALA LUMPUR: Comm Datuk Hazani Ghazali has been appointed as the new Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director as part of a major resfuffle in the police force involving 64 senior officers.
Current Bukit Aman Management Department deputy director Deputy Comm Datuk Idris Abdullah will take over from Comm Hazani as Sabah Police Commissioner and be promoted to the rank of commissioner.
Senior Asst Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa has been appointed as the new Bukit Aman CID deputy director and promoted to the rank of deputy commissioner, while SAC Ruslan Khalid has been appointed as the Inspector-General of Police secretariat police secretary, with the rank of deputy commissioner. North Klang OCPD ACP Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh has been appointed as Sarawak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief with the rank of senior assistant commissioner. Supt S. Vijaya Rao will take over as North Klang OCPD.
