“These allegations are baseless and maliciously intended to tarnish the reputation of the Prime Minister, who is well-known for his stance against corruption and abuse of power,” he said. “Therefore, it is better to allow the MACC to conduct its investigations independently, without interference, and to ensure that the governance of the agency remains undisturbed. We believe that the Prime Minister will not interfere in this investigation and will allow the MACC to operate freely in carrying out its duties,” he said.
He said that while there have been no formal invitations for negotiations with other parties, talks could be held by March next year.
