According to the Daily Express, Sabah Parks Director Dr Maklarin Lakim confirmed that a landslide occurred in the locality of Ulu Sg Mesilau within the Kinabalu Park this morning, 24 June. "We are currently monitoring the development of landslides in the upstream of Mesilau river and its impact on river water flow. The situation is currently under control," said Maklarin.However, Kundasang assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam has also reassured the public that the area remains safe, reported the New Straits Times.
