TAWAU: The State Government is poised to provide Rumah Mesra Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) to former veterans of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), offering them the chance to own homes in the near future.

If these veterans meet the prescribed conditions, the State government will not face any problem in granting approval for the construction of SMJ houses for them. Meanwhile, while speaking at the inauguration of the annual general meeting of PVATM Tawau branch, Nizam, who is Apas Assemblyman, commended the government’s concern.He said the allocation of RM244 million through the Department of Veterans Affairs of the Malaysian Armed Forces by the Ministry of Defence, highlighting its commendable nature.The financial assistance is a continuation of the ATM for veterans, aimed at easing the burden on their livelihood.
