“The scheme will be enforced through the Price Control and Anti-Profitability Act 2011, and allows price determination to be made at the wholesaler and retailer level,” he said in a statement after conducting a walkabout at Emart Lintas Jaya Supermarket, here, Friday. Zulfamy said KPDN Sabah has mobilised 192 enforcement officers and 74 price monitor officers in strategic locations throughout the State to monitor the existence of supplies and compliance as well as carry out inspections at public markets, farmers’ markets and shopping centres. “This approach allows enforcement to be carried out more effectively and immediate action can be taken against user complaints in the event of non-compliance.

KPDN seizes goods worth RM558,956 in nationwide operationThe Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) has recorded seizures worth RM558,956 for various offences through Ops Pantau 2024 nationwide since March 12 until yesterday.
