KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Health officials wish to increase awareness on healthcare and other issues by engaging with more agencies and people this year.

State Health Department director Datuk Dr Rose Nani Mudin said some of the initiatives included having more integrated operations, greater collaboration with government and private sectors as well as the public.

She said the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry can conduct operations on supermarkets, to check on labels of items including medicine, foodstuff, cleanliness and smoking in prohibited public areas. A recent meeting was held between health officials and Sabah Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk Jame Ratib who is also the health exco in Sabah.
