Sabah Forestry Department researcher receives award

SANDAKAN: A local Sabahan from Sandakan, Dr Arthur Y. C. Chung, was awarded the 2023 Science and Technology Award by the Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 24.   Arthur was one of the two recipients for this prestigious award.

Also present at the 30th MTSF Award Ceremony were the Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, His Excellency Mr Shigeki Taniguchi, MTSF Chairman, Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dr Omar Abdul Rahman; the Award Committee Chairman, Tan Sri Emeritus Professor Dr Augustine Ong Soon Hock and Sabah Chief Conservator of Forests, Datuk Frederick Kugan.
