KOTA KINABALU: The public has been warned by the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department to refrain from sea and water-related activities due to the ongoing rainy season .
"We need to be prepared for the weather changes that could lead to floods, falling trees, and other emergencies," he said in a statement. These include Kota Belud, Tuaran, Putatan, Penampang, Kunak, Papar, Keningau, and Kota Kinabalu, as well as Tambunan, Sandakan, Beluran, Tawau, Kudat, and Kuala Penyu.
"With the rainy season upon us, the Fire Department, in collaboration with other agencies, is fully prepared to handle any eventualities," he said.
