KOTA KINABALU: The people of Sabah and Sarawak need to have a say in deciding the future of the country, says Sabah STAR.
Party president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said the two states have been treated as mere spectators in the current drama unfolding in the nation's politics.
“Now more than ever, it is important for Sabah and Sarawak MPs to sit down and be united," he said, urging them to work together to push for the reinstatement of state rights and financial commitments from the Federal Government amid political uncertainty at the national level. He said the olive branch offered by the Muhyiddin to the Opposition was a commendable diplomatic gesture that should be accepted for the sake of political stability in the country.
