S’pore’s PM Wong thanks Thai PM for his government’s assistance in SQ321 incident

The Thai PM said he reiterated the kingdom's readiness to assist those still recovering in the country.

SINGAPORE – Prime Minister Lawrence Wong called Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin on May 28 to express his appreciation for the kingdom’s assistance in helping those on board Singapore Airlines Flight SQ321.

In a Facebook post that same day, PM Wong said he wanted to thank the Thai government for the assistance provided to the flight when it was diverted to Bangkok. The Thai authorities and agencies had helped to evacuate the passengers and crew, as well as provided medical care for those injured, he said.Mr Srettha had earlier posted on his social media accounts that during the morning call, he reiterated Thailand’s readiness to support those still recovering in the country.All the crew members who were on board the Boeing 777-300ER have meanwhile returned to Singapore.
