The former Alabama wing has found his next destination.
Griffen was a key member of Alabama’s Final Four team throughout the 2023-24 season. He hit 39.2% of his three-point attempts last season, providing an offensive spark plug at time during the NCAA Tournament run.
He announced his entry into the transfer portal once the season concluded. The 6-foot-6, 190-pound Dallas native joined a Kansas team that has now brought in four top transfers after losing in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.Griffen was listed as the No. 3 shooting guard in the nation coming out of high school by 247Sports. He chose UA over Georgia, Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State, among others.
He’s one of six players to hit the transfer portal once the season ended for Alabama. Griffen joined Kris Parker, Davin Cosby, Sam Walters, Nick Pringle and Mo Wague. Alabama’s incoming transfer haul includes Houston Mallete , Chris Youngblood and Aden Holloway .
