'Tens of thousands' dead in Mariupol as Russia readies 'even bigger assault'

Sitting on the sea of Azov, the city is all that separates Russian-controlled areas in the east with Kremlin forces that advanced from Crimea in the south. Ukraine’s eastern city of Kharkiv came under heavy shelling on Monday, causing multiple casualties, including one child killed, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.
