The 11-track offering includes a formidable class of hip-hop stars such as Pharrell Williams, DJ Premier, 2 Chainz, and Vince Staples.when Killer Mike and El-P unleashed the music video for"Oh La La," which samples Gang Starr's"DWYCK" and features Greg Nice and DJ Premier. In an interview with, El-P spoke about the old-school direction the rap duo chose to take on the record.
"Listen, Run the Jewels, we don't intentionally do old-school music. To us, we're just making dope-ass new rap music. But our influences and who we are come from an era that is very real and that we really agree on, and there's a feeling that comes from that era that we know exists. If you can grab it and put it out there, then it's undeniable."
Run the Jewels also announced their tour dates for their 2021 tour with Rage Against the Machine. RTJ will hit Oakland, Minneapolis, Detroit, and more. They also will perform five nights in New York at Madison Square Garden.
