johorbahru Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar sedia menyerahkan sebidang tanah di Bukit Chagar untuk Projek Sistem Transit Rapid (RTS).
Setiausaha Sulit Sultan Johor, Datuk Jaba Mohd Noah dalam satu kenyataan berkata, Sultan Ibrahim kecewa dengan satu berita mengaitkan isu peningkatan kos projek RTS dengan sebidang tanah milik baginda di Bukit Chagar.
Menurutnya, sehingga hari ini Sultan Johor tidak pernah dimaklumkan mengenai tanah milik baginda yang akan terbabit untuk projek berkenaan. “Namun begitu, baginda bertitah sekiranya benar tanah milik baginda di Bukit Chagar terbabit untuk projek RTS maka baginda berkenan menyerahkan tanah berkenaan kepada kerajaan tanpa sebarang kos.
“Dengan syarat projek RTS mestilah diteruskan dengan segera kerana baginda amat memahami derita rakyat yang terpaksa berulang-alik ke Singapura,” katanya. Menurutnya, sebagaimana sering ditegaskan bahawa kepentingan rakyat dan kerajaan sentiasa menjadi keutamaan baginda dan setiap isu haruslah dibawa berbincang secara muafakat.
