PETALING JAYA: The Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link project was the main topic of discussion in the one-hour meeting between Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
In a Facebook post, the Transport Minister said Sultan Ibrahim was given the latest update on the work progress related to the RTS Link project during the meeting at Istana Danga in Johor Baru on Saturday .
"I briefed His Majesty on the work progress of the RTS Link project in Malaysia, as well as the status of the Malaysia-Singapore negotiations to divert the pipes belonging to the Public Utilities Board of Singapore to make way for the construction of the RTS Link.Dr Wee, who is also Ayer Hitam MP, said the meeting with the Johor ruler also touched on the state's maritime and port sector.
The RTS Link is a 4km cross-border railway shuttle project connecting Bukit Chagar in Johor Baru and Woodlands, Singapore.The Johor government estimates the project to be completed by the end of December 2026.
