RTD waiting for ministry’s green light to enforce child car seat rule

THE Road Transport Department is waiting for the green light from the Transport Ministry to enforce the use of child seats or restraint system in private vehicles. Its director-general, Shaharuddin Khalid, said the department is now only advocating the use of child seats, and 1,897 warning notices had been issued since early this year until June 30.
