Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has been acquitted of all 17 charges related to money laundering and tax evasion by the Kuala Lumpur High Court.

All parties are expected to respect the Kuala Lumpur High Court 's decision today, which acquitted Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor of 17 charges related to money laundering and tax evasion. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi hopes that no one will question the ruling. “I want to express my gratitude to Datin Seri Rosmah who has been released and acquitted from money laundering and assets declaration charges.

“When released and acquitted, it means we must respect the decision of the judicial institution that ruled in favor of Datin Seri Rosmah and I hope there are no parties who question the court's decision,” he said when met by reporters at the Launching Ceremony of the Chemomoi Agropolitan Latex Complex at the Chemomoi Agropolitan Estate, here today. The Kuala Lumpur High Court today decided to acquit Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor of 17 charges related to money laundering and tax evasion after finding that the charges against Rosmah did not fully state the offense committed. Judge K.. Muniandy said, without details about the offense committed, all that remained was the act of depositing money into an account, which is not illegal under the law. Rosmah was charged with 12 counts of money laundering involving RM7,097,750 million and five counts of failing to declare her income to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) between 2013 and 2018. The trial began on August 24 and two witnesses were called to testify. The trial was halted after Rosmah filed an application to drop the charges on September 6, 2023
