Guiao was tossed out of the contest with still 1:42 left in the opening frame after incurring back-to-back technical fouls for use of profane language and continuous complaining over a perceived non-call in the previous possession. Rain or Shine went on with its blistering run in the third frame and early fourth quarter, stretching its lead to as high as 15, 101-86, before surviving a late rally from the Fuel Masters who came within single digits in the waning seconds.
