Ronnie Liang was one of the performers who graced the stage at the historic “Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Awit ng Magiting,” held in Malacañang, a gig that he said was a dream-come-true for him.
“The grandeur of the place, and the thought of performing in front of such a distinguished audience, made it a mixture of nerves and excitement, but simultaneously, a dream came true,” he added as he expressed his gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos and his wife Liza.
“It is an honor to be part of a concert that not only recognizes the heroism and sacrifices of our AFP but also provides some respite to their families and showcases new and young talented Filipino artists… It was also a pleasure to see and be recognized by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin Jr. and his wife, whom I had known a long time ago, as well as my good friend and mentor in Philippine Army, PSG Chief BGen. @demyzagala,” he added.
Liang, who joined the Philippine Army as a reservist following the Marawi seige in 2017, said the event was an “inspiring and unforgettable experience” for him.
