A crackdown on undocumented Rohingya individuals illegally riding motorcycles and driving cars resulted in the seizure of seven vehicles in Pasir Mas, Malaysia , during Operation Tal Tujuh. The operation, conducted by local police, saw the confiscation of six motorcycles and one car used by the Rohingya community. A total of 16 summonses were issued to the individuals for various traffic offenses.
Initial investigations revealed that some Rohingya had purchased motorcycles from local residents for prices ranging from RM500 to RM3,500, while others rented them for RM200 per month. The offenses committed included driving without a license, failure to wear helmets, lack of road tax, and expired insurance. The operation was launched following complaints from residents about the Rohingya using the roads to evade law enforcement officers. Local authorities issued a warning to the public against renting vehicles to undocumented foreigners, stating that owners could face legal action under Section 26 of the Road Transport Act 1987 if caught
