Opinion: Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: Letters
Great information in “Should voters take RFK Jr. seriously?” . Reading both columns, I find it interesting the level of censorship that goes on in both the press and politics. It is very difficult to find positions on candidates that aren’t skewed by the presenter. In this case and in all cases going forward, I am only going to decide with statements that are exact quotes from the candidates or something I hear from the candidates themselves.
The first is, what would happen if Congress passed an ethics law for SCOTUS and then the court ruled it unconstitutional? That should set off a pretty good constitutional crisis. The Constitution directs Congress to approve the judges and how many. It does not provide for Congress to specify how the court works. The second is, if Congress wants to limit special interests impacting the nation’s laws, it should start with itself.
