The win sends the Springboks to the final, where they will match up against New Zealand who beat Argentina a day prior
Rob Kearney voiced his concern for South Africa as they just scraped over the line against England in the Rugby World Cup.Kearney believes South Africa could benefit from their weak performance as he spoke on Virgin Media.“Ironically, that’s the best thing that could have happened this team.“We didn’t turn up, we’re so lucky, we’re blessed to be in a final but if we produce that level of performance again if we bring that level of emotion again, we’re going to get beaten out the door.
Fellow pundit Matt Williams backed Kearney up on his opinion but also said it would be a hard final to call.“The question I had about South Africa was late in the tournament, with the long year they’ve had, will the 15 months almost of non-stop rugby start to wear on them? “Whereas we’ve seen New Zealand in a relatively easy game last night in comparison, get that emotion out of the way as well.“So it’s very hard to pick.“And unless we can do something about it in the next seven days we’ll get beaten because you won’t get away with that against New Zealand.”
