The city of Gulf Shores has announced its schedule of road closings, beach closings and other traffic changes for the 2022 Hangout Music Festival.
The festival runs Friday, May 20, through Sunday, May 21. At least one parking lot, at East Gulf Place, has already been closed and will remain so through Wednesday, May 25.· Public beach access closes at Gulf Place, the central public beach at the foot of Ala. 59 and the site of the festival. · At 4:30 a.m., Ala. 59 will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic south of West 1st Avenue and Ala. 182/Beach Boulevard between West 2nd Street and East 2nd Street.
· Access to Orange Beach will be available through Gulf State Park, Canal Road or by taking East 1st Avenue East 2nd Street, East 3rd Street or East 4th Street.· At 4:30 a.m. Friday, traffic flow on East 1st Avenue and East 2nd Avenue will be modified to a one-way-only route to help accommodate heavy pedestrian traffic. Two-way traffic flow will continue on East 1st Street, East 2nd Street, East 3rd Street and East 4th Street.
