KUALA PENYU: Sebanyak RM7 juta diperuntukkan bagi menaik taraf 38 tapak tamu desa yang telah dikenal pasti di seluruh Sabah, kata Menteri Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi Datuk Ewon Benedick.
Beliau berkata peruntukan berkenaan adalah untuk pelaksanaan fasa pertama Projek Tamu Desa di negeri itu.“Bagi program ini, pejabat daerah bertanggungjawab sebagai agensi pelaksana untuk memastikan pelaksanaan projek mengikut skop kerja ditetapkan.

“Program ini akan menyediakan atau menaik taraf ruang niaga dan pusat penjaja dengan infrastruktur yang lebih kondusif bagi memudahkan akses pemasaran produk jualan lebih berkesan di tapak lokasi perniagaan,” katanya.Pada majlis itu, Ewon turut mengumumkan peruntukan RM400,000 bagi memulakan kerja-kerja menaik taraf dua tapak tamu di Kuala Penyu menerusi projek Tamu Desa sekali gus berharap ia dapat menyediakan kemudahan ruang niaga lebih kondusif dan selesa.
