Thanks to the “Save A Child’s Heart” partnership programme.
Maybank Islamic Bhd strategy head Dr Muhd Ramadhan Fitri Ellias handed over a RM500,000 donation to National Heart Institute chief executive officer Datuk Dr Aizai Azan Abdul Rahim.
“We hope that the partnership with Maybank Islamic will ease the financial burden of the families of these children, ” said Dr Aizai.Three of the success stories were present at the donation ceremony. They still require continuous monitoring and follow-up treatment. Maybank Islamic also donated RM20,000 to provide IJN’s medical personnel with personal protective equipment , as the pandemic had caused a shortage of PPE nationwide.
Maybank also helped to build a mini library in the paediatric ward and set up a children’s play area at the Paediatric and Congenital Heart Centre Clinic.
