RM2mil drugs seized and three men nabbed in KL police op

KUALA LUMPUR: A drug syndicate which catered to customers in the Klang Valley was busted with the seizure of about RM2mil worth of drugs.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said that the police also detained three men, believed to be the syndicate members, during an operation conducted from July 3 to 7.

"We seized 300g of syabu and RM1,300 cash. Later, at 5.40pm, the police raided another serviced apartment in Brickfields and arrested a 35-year-old man. We also seized an array of drugs, including heroin and methamphetamine," he said. "We inspected a safe in the unit and seized RM201,080 cash and close to RM20,000 in foreign currencies in different denominations. Jewellery worth RM284,505 was also seized," he said.
