The Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurial Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, announced a RM100 million allocation through Tekun Nasional to strengthen the economic empowerment agenda for the Indian community. This is the largest allocation for the Indian community since 2008 and is expected to benefit over 4,500 Indian entrepreneurs, opening new opportunities for their growth in the business world. The allocation will be channeled through the SPUMI Goes Big Financing Scheme (RM50 million) and the Indian Community Entrepreneur Financing Scheme (SPUMI) (RM50 million). Both schemes aim to provide comprehensive support, from capital to guidance, enabling Indian entrepreneurs to achieve sustainable success.

PETALING JAYA: Timbalan Menteri Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan mengumumkan peruntukan RM100 juta melalui Tekun Nasional bagi memperkasakan dan memperkukuh lagi agenda pemerkasaan ekonomi komuniti India.

“Dana RM100 juta ini akan disalurkan melalui Skim Pembiayaan SPUMI Goes Big sebanyak RM50 juta dan dijangka akan memberi manfaat kepada seramai 1,000 orang usahawan. “Kedua-dua skim ini diilhamkan untuk memberikan sokongan menyeluruh, dari modal hingga bimbingan, agar usahawan India dapat meraih kejayaan yang mampan,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
