Jamie Osborne burst onto the URC and Champions Cup scenes and, after injury disruption, wants to make an impact again for Leinster - then win that first Ireland cap

Osborne was only 19 when he made his Leinster debut two seasons ago and, within seconds of coming on, immediately drove a Scarlets opponent backwards in possession some 15 metres.

"And I was just trying to do my best in training, learn from the lads like Gary , Bundee , Robbie and Stu , and hopefully force my way in to get a few opportunities. So what is it about Aki that made him one of the stars of the World Cup? However, he was released back to Leinster during the week of the warm-up game against England, just three weeks out from the start of France 2023, knowing he hadn't been in position to give his all.

"So I missed a good chunk of the pre-season and then I kind of felt I was on the backfoot then, so I didn’t really think I would be in with too much of a chance after that.Osborne started last Saturday's URC victory over the Sharks at the RDS and it was his first taste of competitive action in almost eight months - he last played in March against Edinburgh.
