Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri semalam mengumumkan Malaysia mencatatkan lebihan dagangan sebanyak RM11.06 bilion pada Februari 2019, naik 22.7 peratus tahun ke tahun berbanding Februari 2018. Peniaga berkata, walaupun eksport pada bulan tersebut merosot 5.3 peratus tahun ke tahun disebabkan aktiviti perindustrian yang lemah semasa perayaan Tahun Baru Cina, import turut mencatatkan penurunan yang mengejutkan sebanyak 9.4 peratus.Penanda aras antarabangsa niaga hadapan minyak mentah Brent susut 23 cents kepada US$69.17 setong manakala minyak mentah US West Texas Intermediate merosot dua cents kepada US$62.08 setong.Ia meningkat berbanding dolar Singapura kepada 3.0115/0172 daripada 3.
Ringgit tinggi berbanding pound British kepada 5.3370/3444 daripada 5.3686/3741 dan meningkat berbanding euro kepada 4.5782/5858 daripada 4.5809/5859.
