Ringgit extends downtrend against US dollar in early session

RHB Bank in its economic research today said the increase in March IPI to 3.1 per cent from 1.7 per cent in February was above expectations, lifted by the manufacturing sector and electricity. Meanwhile, SPI Asset Management Managing Partner Stephen Innes said the market is still heavily biased towards the ongoing trade dispute between the US and China and any fall out in the negotiations would impact the market tremendously.
