Ringgit ditutup rendah berbanding dolar AS

RINGGIT ditutup rendah berbanding dolar AS hari ini berikutan pelabur enggan membuat sebarang keputusan menjelang mesyuarat dasar Rizab Persekutuan Amerika Syarikat .

Pada 6 petang, mata wang tempatan itu ditutup pada 4.6185/6235 berbanding dolar AS 4.5950/6000 ketika ditutup pada Rabu. Ketua Ekonomi dan Kewangan Sosial Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid berkata mata wang tempatan terus kekal lemah apabila pasaran menghampiri tarikh mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pasaran Terbuka Persekutuan AS, yang dijadualkan pada 13-14 Jun.

“Keputusan Reserve Bank of Australia dan Bank of Canada untuk menaikkan kadar dasar mereka secara tidak dijangka minggu ini pastinya menentukan keputusan yang dibuat FOMC mengikut pandangan pasaran. “Berdasarkan keadaan sedemikian, ringgit menjadi lemah berbanding mata wang utama,” katanya kepada Bernama.Ia turun kepada 3.3041/3079 berbanding yen Jepun daripada 3.2996/3034 ketika ditutup pada Rabu, susut berbanding pound Britain kepada 5.7537/7600 daripada 5.7212/7275 semalam dan merosot berbanding euro kepada 4.9557/9610 daripada 4.9176/9229 sebelum ini.Ringgit susut berbanding dolar Singapura kepada 3.4290/4332 daripada 3.4098/4137 pada Rabu, merosot berbanding baht Thailand kepada 13.
