Labuan Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry lauded the Govt’s decision to drop the Lbn-Menumbok bridge plan and instead focus on viable, saying the shift from the futile chase for bridge to more realistic areas could help rejuvenate the local economy.
LICCI Chairman Datuk Dahlif Singh said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is not the only Prime Minister to have said the bridge was not a priority.He said former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, who visited the island last October, had also indicated that it was difficult to implement the project due to its immense cost.
