The winner will replace outgoing mayor Paul Voelker, who was appointed to serve as mayor in 2015.
Voelker was officially elected mayor in 2017 before winning re-election in 2019 and 2021. He had served as a city council member since 2013.Prior to joining the council, DePuy, 74, spent 10 years on the city’s Plan Commission, where she gained experience on development, land use and zoning policies. She is a Richardson representative on the Regional Transportation Council, North Central Texas Council of Governments and Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition.
As a council member, athletic director and football coach, Dubey, 68, has deep roots in Richardson. Dubey has held additional roles as chairman of the Richardson Parks and Recreation Commission, City Charter Review Commission and other city committees. Continuing to improve and fund infrastructure and monitor progress on short-term rentals were among the items on Dubey’s platform, according to his campaign website.The News
