RHB Banking Group has extended its Flood Relief Program until the end of February 2025 to provide both immediate and long-term financial support to customers in Sarawak and Sabah affected by recent floods. The program aims to assist individuals, small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMEs) in Sabah and Sarawak with their recovery process. Beyond financial assistance , RHB is committed to providing community support to flood victims.
This will involve exploring additional social impact initiatives to help affected communities rebuild their livelihoods and recover from the disaster. RHB offers various financial relief options for eligible individual customers, including payment deferment for up to six months (February to July 2025) for housing financing, Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) financing/Islamic financing, personal loans/Islamic financing, and hire purchase financing/Islamic financing. The bank also provides fee waivers, including late payment charges, interest/management charges on affected credit/Islamic cards, up to RM500 (February to July 2025). Furthermore, waivers are offered for ATM card replacement fees, debit/Islamic card fees, and credit/Islamic card fees. For eligible SME customers not involved in restructuring or rescheduling programs, RHB offers payment assistance for up to six months (February to July 2025) for various financing facilities, including hire purchase financing/Islamic financing, business financing/Islamic financing, overdraft interest/profit, and Multi Trade Line bill payments. The bank also offers a Disaster Relief Fund (DRF) for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), providing financing up to RM700,000 at special rates to aid business recovery.
