Ireland medal hopeful Rhasidat Adeleke kicks off her Olympic campaign this morning in Paris
Irish eyes will be on Rhasidat Adeleke as she gets her Olympics campaign underway this morning in the 400m heats.
Adeleke, who finished second in the recent European Championships, will compete in the 400m heats this morning alongside teammates Sophie Becker and Sharlene Mawdsley as all three hope to progress to the Olympic semi-finals. Ciara McGing is in action in the Women's 10m Platform Diving while Daniel Coyle, Cian O'Connor and Shane Sweetnam all compete in the Show Jumping later today.Becker goes out hard from the blocks but some brilliant runs from her competitors and she won't advance as she finishes in sixth place.Sophie Becker will be the first of the Irish to compete at 10.55 am in Heat One of the 400mThe Tallaght native will race in heat six of the 400m at 11.35 am.
