Democratic presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr. received over $6 million in fundraising from Republican and Democratic donors in July.
American Values 2024, the newly formed super PAC backing RFK Jr.’s candidacy, announced Monday in a press release that it raised $6.47 million this month, most of which came in one day. Its fundraising total so far is $16.82 million.The release said people from both sides of the political aisle, including GOP megadonor Timothy Mellon and security specialist Gavin de Becker, have already donated to the super PAC.
De Becker agreed, saying the Democratic Party “sorely [needs] a candidate people can be enthusiastic about.” American Values 2024 expects to receive between $80 million and $100 million in donations by the end of 2023, the press release noted.
