In Alpine, located just north of Mittagong at NSW's Southern Highlands, 4.5 per cent of borrowers were in mortgage arrears. "To date, arrears increases have been delayed by built-up savings and strong employment growth, enhancing job mobility. The coming months will be a litmus test for borrowers facing large increases in their mortgage repayments,"
