The prolific toy maker died at his home in La Jolla, California, on Tuesday, according to People of Play —an organisation known for championing game innovation that gave Klamer a lifetime achievement award in 2009.
Over the course of his illustrious career, Klamer had more than 200 toy credits to his name and promoted the use of polyethylene in toys over more dangerous plastics.
